YCSO VOLUNTEER SERVICES COORDINATOR DENNYSE LOLL'S RETIREMENT

After 23 years of overseeing the huge YCSO volunteer operation, Dennyse Loll has retired. Sheriff David Rhodes told the retirement ceremony gathering that volunteers are almost half of the entire agency and "DD" (as she is affectionately known by all of us) will be "tough to replace because of your radar for how you could help the volunteers and get things done."

DEPUTY DOUG OWENS RETIRES AFTER MORE THAN TWO DECADES WITH YCSO

YCSO Deputy Doug Owens, the agency's certified officer of the year in 2007, has retired after more than 20 years on the job. Deputy Owens was a well-respected deputy who was described as dependable and solid, with excellent investigation skills.

YCSO PROMOTES AWARD WINNER ALAN CONNER TO SERGEANT

In March, YCSO Deputy Alan Conner was awarded Deputy of the Year by the Prescott Elks Lodge. In April, he was promoted to Sergeant with the Northern Area Command of YCSO. Sgt Conner is relatively new to Yavapai county, but not to law enforcement, having a career spanning more than 30 years.

IT'S A YCSO 3-PEAT IN THE 3RD ANNUAL SGT TIEMAN MEMORIAL BEARCAT PULL

It was a photo finish....twice....but the YCSO SWAT team defeated the Prescott Valley PD team to claim the Bearcat Pull crown for the third year in a row.
The event matches 8-member teams from law enforcement agencies and civilian groups, pulling a 10-ton SWAT vehicle for half a block on Cortez St in downtown Prescott. All proceeds raised went to AZ Special Olympics. Thanks to everyone!
