YAVAPAI COUNTY MOUNTED SHERIFF'S POSSE NEBEKER BRONZE RAFFLE OCT 12TH!

A Bill Nebeker bronze worth more than $5,000 will be raffled off on October 12, with proceeds benefiting the Yavapai County Mounted Sheriff's Posse Scholarship Fund. Tickets are $10 each, or 3 for $20 and you do not need to be present to win this beautiful bronze creation.

LOTS OF YCSO REPRESENTATION AT NATIONAL NIGHT OUT IN CHINO VALLEY

YCSO had plenty of representation at the National Night Out celebration in Chino Valley on October 1st. SWAT, Forest Patrol, Search and Rescue, Public Affairs and Deputy Do Right all interacted with hundreds of people at the outstanding event, which included many first responder agencies. The focus of the event was strengthening the relationship between community and those who serve to protect it.

FATAL TWO-VEHICLE ACCIDENT NEAR PRESCOTT CLAIMS LIFE OF KINGMAN MAN

A 48-year-old Kingman resident died from injuries suffered in a 2-vehicle accident on Williamson Valley Road, northwest of Prescott, in the late afternoon of Oct 1st.
The man was riding a motorcycle, when a pickup truck turned in front of him at the intersection of Granite Oaks Dr. The teenaged driver of the pickup was not injured.

YAVAPAI COUNTY DEEMED HIGH INTENSITY DRUG TRAFFICKING AREA

In a major breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking, Yavapai County has been designated a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area by the federal government. This allows for more federal funds and greater cooperation between law enforcement agencies to help in the fight against drug traffickers, especially those who deal in deadly fentanyl. Ten Arizona counties are now HIDTA-designated.

TWO FROM YCSO WIN AWARDS AT THE 2024 WOMEN IN LAW ENFORCEMENT LUNCHEON

YCSO had five employees nominated for Women in Law Enforcement awards this year, including two overall winners: Beya Thayer and McKenna Smith. The awards luncheon hosted by YCSO was held in Prescott on September 18 and was emceed by Sheriff David Rhodes.
