The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard was founded in 2000 to serve as the ceremonial arm of the Agency.  The mission of the Honor Guard is to represent the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office at funerals, parades, ceremonial functions, and other special events.  The Honor Guard serves at the discretion of the Sheriff and represents the Agency as ambassadors of the County at events on the local, state, and national levels.

The duties of the Honor Guard include rendering honors to deceased department personnel, local officials, and service members whenever possible. The Honor Guard endeavors to render honors and provide support to members of the Law Enforcement and public safety community killed in the line of duty, wherever the need may occur.  The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard and its members strive to represent the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and dedication to duty.
