The Yavapai County Sheriff's office is pleased to welcome three new deputies to the agency following their graduation from the recent High Country Training Academy in Flagstaff.

Sheriff David Rhodes and Chief Deputy Jeff Newnum greeted deputies Andres Valasquez-Hall, Ryan Romaine, and Garrett Russell at a meeting Feb 26 at the YCSO office in Prescott. Sheriff Rhodes told the newcomers of the great potential in a career at YCSO, citing his own 30-year tenure with the agency, which began as a teenaged volunteer and culminated with his 2020 election as Sheriff.

The county's top law enforcement official also stressed to the new deputies what his agency expects from all of its uniformed personnel. "You are to uphold and protect the Constitutional rights of those you serve, and to always act in a professional and courteous manner," Rhodes said.
