YCSO HAS MAJOR PRESENCE AT INAUGURAL FIRST RESPONDERS DAY IN PRESCOTT

Several key segments of YCSO were on display at the first annual First Responders Day at Pine Ridge Marketplace in Prescott on May 26th.

YCSO had a major presence at the public event, designed to honor first responders and military men and women over the Memorial Day weekend. The agency set up the SWAT Bearcat vehicle and a display table of various SWAT equipment, which were both fan favorites on the day.

Also on display was the Inmate Transportation Bus from Detention Services, the mobile DUI command center truck, Jeep Posse Search and Rescue vehicles and equipment, a Forest Patrol vehicle, and a large contingent of Recruitment and Selection personnel looking for folks who want to start a great career with YCSO. And the guy who is #1 with the kids....Deputy Do-Right.

The event was sponsored by the Prescott Chamber of Commerce, and will become an annual affair where the public can go "hands on" with law enforcement and fire department vehicles and gain insight into what it means to hold the critical job of "first responder".
