YCSO has its two newest deputies following their graduation from the Northern Arizona Regional Training Academy (NARTA) May 30th. Eric Hardy and Robert Watson were presented their badges and certificates by Sheriff David Rhodes at the ceremony at Yavapai College, which was also attended by several members of the YCSO Command Staff.

Hardy was chosen as the president of NARTA Class 56 and was one of the speakers at the graduation, along with keynote speaker Prescott Police Chief Amy Bonney and other dignitaries who addressed the crowd of friends and family members.

The 17 graduates will represent a total of nine agencies following the 21-week academy, which included Class Sergeant Mike Lewis of YCSO among those getting the cadets ready for their law enforcement responsibilities.

Hardy will be part of the Northern Area Command of YCSO while Watson will be assigned to the Eastern Area Command.
