The 1st Annual Tunnel to Towers (T2T) Foundation Charity Golf Tournament to benefit families of fallen military and first responders is coming up in Prescott on May 28th.

Local spokesman John Weaver says the Prescott event will be held at The Club at Prescott Lakes the day after Memorial Day, and the group is still seeking corporate and business sponsorships. 144 players have entered, almost half of which are former military or law enforcement personnel.

Besides the golf tournament, there will be a silent auction beginning about 10 days prior. More information on that will be forthcoming in the near future. The golfers will tee off following an opening ceremony which will feature members of several agencies of first responders, including YCSO.

T2T developed the “In the Line of Duty Program” to honor those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. It provides mortgage-free homes to U.S. military veterans and first responders who have been catastrophically injured, along with Gold Star and fallen first-responder families with young children. The group also has several other programs, including some to provide housing solutions and support to homeless veterans.

T2T is proud of the fact that 95% of all money raised goes directly to its many programs, with only a fraction going to fundraising and management.
