YCSO Personnel Enjoy Reading To The Kids At Local Elementary Schools
Published on March 09, 2026
During National Read Across America Week, YCSO personnel greatly enjoyed their interaction with the youngsters at two local elementary schools, reading books like "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" (Dr Seuss) to the kids.
At Prescott Valley Charter School, Detention Deputy Amber Hall and Public Affairs Officer Shay Elenz took turns reading to Pre-school through 3rd grade classes. At Taylor Hicks Elementary School in Prescott, it was Lt Dan Pritchard, VIP Chaplain Glenn McConnell, and PAO Elenz doing the honors in Kindergarten through 4th grade classrooms.
In addition, YCSO provided all the youngsters with slick Deputy Do Right and K-9 dog trading cards.
A big "Thank You" to the administrators at both schools for letting us come and read to these great students!
