A local church this week presented YCSO with a donation to the agency's Employee Fund.

Associate Pastor Jesse Morales of the Potter's House Church in Prescott told Sheriff David Rhodes the congregation and its leadership wanted to express their thankfulness to law enforcement personnel for their sacrifice to serve and protect the public. Pastor Morales presented the Sheriff with a check for $5,000 which will be used to help YCSO employees and their families in times of special need. Sheriff Rhodes said the agency greatly appreciates the generosity of the local congregation, and the donation will help with expenses which are not covered under the YCSO annual budget. Previously, the Potter's House has donated funds to help support the care and training of the YCSO K-9 Unit.

YCSO has several other programs that are supported by donations from the public, including the Benevolence Fund (helping families if a deputy is injured or killed in the line of duty), the Cadet Program (for people ages 14-21 who want to pursue a law enforcement career), and the Youth Fund (for youth awareness programs to help youngsters be good citizens). If you would like to donate to YCSO, please visit "I Want To" on the homepage of this website, then "I Want Information", and then click on "Donate to YCSO", or you may call us at (928) 554-8704.
