Motorcycle Riders Arrested after Fleeing
Published on June 30, 2025
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) has arrested two individuals in connection with separate high-speed motorcycle incidents that occurred hours apart on Wednesday, both involving dangerous attempts to evade law enforcement.
At approximately 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, a YCSO deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle traveling eastbound on Highway 69 from Prescott toward Prescott Valley. The rider failed to yield and fled at a high rate of speed, weaving through traffic and evading multiple deputies and other law enforcement agencies.
A short time later, deputies located the rider—identified as Robert Plamondon—at a residence. He was taken into custody and booked on charges of felony flight, speeding, reckless driving, and endangerment.
Earlier that same day, at around 2:00 p.m., another YCSO deputy attempted to stop a different motorcycle on Willow Creek Road. The rider also failed to yield and fled toward the Prescott Airport area at excessive speed. Deputies searching the vicinity later located the motorcycle and rider in the parking lot of a nearby business. The rider—identified as Peyton Proper—was observed attempting to load the motorcycle into the bed of a pickup truck. He was arrested for felony flight, reckless driving, and excessive speed.
The investigations are ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming. Both motorcycles were impounded.
Dangerous driving and high-risk behavior behind the wheel endanger everyone on the road and can lead to serious injuries or death.
YCSO is thankful for the coordinated efforts of our deputies and partner agencies to safely apprehend both individuals. https://youtu.be/qIObKuDi504
