Search Underway for Missing Texas Woman in Thumb Butte Area PRESCOTT, AZ – The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) is actively searching for a missing person, 39-year-old Rebekka O'Connor from Texas, who was reported missing yesterday afternoon from the Thumb Butte area. Rebekka walked away from her family campsite while on vacation and has not returned. She left all personal belongings behind, including her phone, wallet, and credit cards. Immediately upon receiving the call, deputies initiated a search and rescue operation. Approximately 40 searchers from Yavapai County Search and Rescue Teams are involved in the search. DPS Ranger aerial searches were conducted yesterday and will continue today. The search has continued throughout the night. YCSO is distributing flyers at local trailheads and businesses to alert the public. All trailheads remain open and YCSO requests the publics help should they see Rebekka while hiking. The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who was hiking or recreating in the Thumb Butte area and may have seen Rebekka O'Connor to please contact YCSO immediately at (928) 771-3260 or call 911.
