In May, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) detectives received a tip through the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force regarding child s**ual abuse material (CSAM) from a home in Prescott. YCSO detectives and patrol deputies investigated and discovered CSAM on electronic devices owned by the 74-year-old male resident. The suspect, 74-year-old Fred Parvin, was arrested and initially booked on 10 counts of s**ual exploitation of a minor. Over the course of the investigation, detectives found videos depicting him engaging in s**ual acts with a victim under the age of 10. Further evidence corroborated that these acts had been committed. Last week, deputies returned to the home. They arrested Parvin, who was out on bond, on charges involving s**ual exploitation of a minor and molestation of a child.
Also, last week, after a thorough investigation, YCSO Detectives arrested 45-year-old Ricardo Gonzalez of Chino Valley after they discovered several videos showing CSAM on electronic devices owned by Ricardo. Ricardo was arrested for S**ual Exploitation of a Minor.
The YCSO will continue to utilize all available resources to thoroughly investigate and arrest suspects who commit these horrific crimes against our most vulnerable.
