I-17 Northbound at General Crook Trail
I-40 Eastbound in Ash Fork

 

Across Yavapai County on Thursday January 8th, Deputies responded to several weather related incidents. Ranging from cars, and semi-trucks sliding off of the road to injury accidents. Which shutdown Interstate 40 for several hours and hindered traffic on I-17. YCSO reminds drivers during adverse weather conditions and when Interstate 40 is shutdown, do not use backroads, such as, drake road near Paulden. Bagdad received an unexpected snowfall which resulted in one injury accident in which deputies responded to. Deputies responded to multiple slide offs on Iron Springs road and crash where a car slid 20 feet off the road near Sedona.
