Published on March 24, 2025
Just after 3 PM on Saturday March 22nd, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a head-on collision on Williamson Valley Road near Levie Lane, just northwest of Prescott. Upon arrival, deputies found one driver, identified as Jesse Foreman of Chino Valley, and a young child deceased at the scene.
Tragically, another young child was pronounced dead during transport to the hospital. A third young child was taken to a Phoenix hospital via ambulance and is currently in critical condition. Three adults, including the driver and passenger in the second vehicle, were airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries. In all, five medical helicopters responded to transport victims.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Foreman, who was driving a Toyota 4-Runner carrying his three young children and the children's mother, crossed over double yellow lines and collided head-on with a Jeep SUV, carrying a woman in her 60s and her adult son. The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office continues investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident, including if impairment and speed were factors. As information becomes available, further updates will be provided.
Traffic enforcement on Williamson Valley Road has been a priority for YCSO after recent complaints from the public. YCSO will continue to conduct more speed and driving enforcement in the area. The Sheriff’s Office makes public safety a priority and emphasizes areas in the county that are known to have problems with reckless driving.
