YCSO kids favorite Deputy Do Right showed up at the Kirkland School on May 7 to visit with the students, and as usual he was well received. Do Right visited classes in grades K-4, and a lot of the youngsters already knew his name and some even asked for his autograph! He handed out YCSO trooper hats and agency stickers too, as he encouraged the students to "Do Right" in school and at home.

For grades 5-8, YCSO Deputy Adam Gustawes and other personnel addressed the students in an assembly about bullying and many other very important topics. The students listened intently as we advised them to respect others and treat them as you would want to be treated, always report bullying to a respected adult at school and to your parents, to be very careful when it comes to internet use and safety, and make sure to choose your friends wisely.YCSO also cautioned students that making poor life choices now could end up affecting their future goals and dreams. Many of the young people offered great input and questions as well.

Thanks to Stephanie Jenkins at the school for allowing YCSO to spend a couple of hours with her students.
