Three More Promotions in Detention Services: New Sergeants
Published on March 10, 2026
YCSO has three new Sergeants in Detention Services following a promotion ceremony in Prescott at the end of February.
Jacob Liptow, Amanda Devendorf, and Joseph Ricciardi were sworn into their new positions by Sheriff David Rhodes, who commended the trio for their great work in Detention Services over a combined 22 years of service. All three have received Lifesaving Awards during their tenure in the county jails.
In brief remarks, each of the new Sergeants thanked family and co-workers during the gathering, and all of them said it was an honor to move up in the YCSO ranks. Sgt Devendorf made a point of how "influential and supportive every one of you has been" and she said, "I hope to make every one of you very proud that has helped me along the way."
Sgt Liptow is the veteran of the trio, having been hired in 2015. He has worked in Jail Investigations and was a member of the Special Response Team. Sgt Ricciardi, a military veteran, was hired in 2019, and Sgt Devendorf came on board in 2021. She is an avid equestrian who has helped organize YCSO parade horseback entries the past few years.
