What is the CodeRED® system?
The CodeRED® system allows authorized Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Officials to create and rapidly disseminate time-sensitive messages to all or selected telephone numbers stored in the notification database. With the CodeRED® service, authorized users can send thousands of messages in minutes. Only authorized officials are allowed access to the system.
Once I've registered (opted-in), how do I update my contact information?
After you’ve registered with CodeRED®, you may login to your account by returning to http://www.ycsoaz.gov?page_id=3724
and clicking the Sign-in link.
How do I setup the system to send Alert notifications to all my family members?
CodeRED® only allows one primary contact mode per email address. Once the primary contact mode has been successfully delivered the Alert message, the system will not place anymore calls. Therefore, you will need to create accounts using different email addresses for each family member.
I have questions about an Alert message that I received. Who do I contact for answers?
If you have questions regarding an Alert message, please call our dispatch phone number, (928)771-3260. NEVER REPLY TO AN ALERT NOTIFICATION EMAIL MESSAGE OR TEXT MESSAGE! We DO NOT MONITOR the Alert message mailbox or text message number for replies.
How does the system respond to a busy signal or no-answer situations?
When delivery of the alert to your primary contact mode fails, the system will automatically fall back to other methods. With respect to phone notifications, if the system detects an answering machine, it will deliver the message to voicemail. If the phone is not answered and no answering machine is detected, the system will redial the number at a later time or fall back to another contact mode.
I didn't hear the entire message. Is there a way to replay the Alert notification?
Yes. At the end of the message, simply press 1 on your phone’s keypad to listen the entire message again.
