Law Enforcement Services Division

Yavapai County comprises 8,092 square miles of widely varied terrain from tall timber to scenic desert to “urban” areas. Providing law enforcement in each of these areas has always been challenging due to limited resources and the great distances that we are within our county. Through the dedication and hard work of our personnel, we have prevailed and continue to set the standard for law enforcement across the state. While maintaining our proud traditions, we are committed to creative, interactive problem solving, trust and communication with the communities we serve.

The Sheriff’s Office is proud of our heritage and continued service to the citizens of Yavapai County since 1864. We are dedicated to maximized services through ethical leadership, optimal utilization of our resources, employee morale and fiscal responsibility at every level. As Yavapai County continues to undergo tremendous growth and change, the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Services Division stands ready to respond to future challenges with professionalism, quality service and community involvement.

The Law Enforcement Services Division is comprised of the following Bureaus:

• Criminal Investigations
• Eastern Area Command
• Northern Area Command
• Southern Area Command

Within these Bureaus are a multitude of operations that include everything from patrol operations, records management, criminal investigations, dispatch and everything in between.
