On May 12, 2013, at approximately 10 AM, a man pulled up to the Montezuma/Rimrock Fire Station and when contacted by on-duty fireman, reported the apparent death a female seated inside his truck. Fireman attempted CPR on the woman without success as the man drove away before identifying himself or the woman. She was pronounced dead at the firehouse.

The vehicle, which displayed Kentucky license plates, was driven by Kentucky resident, 62-year-old Stephen Ledonne.  At approximately 6:30 AM this morning, a YCSO K9 deputy stopped a white Lexus sedan for speeding and a lane change violation on east I40, mile post 137. The driver, and only occupant, was identified as 21-year-old Malek Alotaibi from Montebello, California.
